ABOUT

The Greater Houston Locksmiths Association is not-for-profit Educational Organization.  It serves the common interest of all Professional Locksmiths in the City of Houston, Texas and surrounding area.  The GHLA organization is dedicated to advancement and the common interests of its membership.

PURPOSE

THE GENERAL PURPOSE and POWERS are to

1) Support

The high standard and quality of the Locksmith by increasing the knowledge, experience, and skill of its members through classes, courses of instruction, panel and discussion groups, seminars, maintenance of a Locksmith tape library, a hardship fund to co-op educational classes for members, and the publication of an organizational newsletter for the purpose of promoting educational information and activities.

2) Promote

The common interest of its members through education of the community it serves, encouraging the use of goods and services of its members and the area locksmith trade, and uniformity and cooperation within the trade.

WE WILL HAVE

with all city, county, state and federal laws; and shall endeaver to keep ourselves informed of those laws governing our business.

WE WILL NOT                  

intentionally injure the business reputation of another member or competitor.

WE WILL EMPLOYE        

truth and accuracy in advertising and selling.

WE WILL STAND BEHIND

any guarantee given with the sale of security devices.

WE WILL NOT                  

perform any act which would bring disrepute to the locksmithing or security industry.

WE WILL EXPOSE           

or halt where found, any scheme designed to deceive or defraud the security buying public and aid in prosecuting those guilty of such acts.

WE WILL CONSTANTLY STRIVE

to improve business methods to the end that the public will be better served.

WE WILL ENCOURAGE

the American System of Free Enterprise.
